The crowd didn't react at Hiss' drops not because they're not enjoying, it's just because Asian crowds rather be quiet while someone is performing, I've seen many asian crowds and they are really respectful.
Well are u sure about that

Oh hey Madox! Thanks for the great videos man, they really helped me not get bored because of the world situation and my online classes.
Favorite video would definitely be your analysis on Kotcha vs Uniteam. Keep it up man! God bless
It feels so weird not hearing a crowd freak out over hiss's beats like at gbb when he drops his insaneee beats 😂🔥🔥 so good tho
Actually that TV show mood should not be high. That show is like competition and contest not a showing skills. So crowds have to decide performer to make next round.
LOL🤣
Gg the thumbnail "Finally real talent in a TV show" 🤣
Remember that blind dude on America got talent nothing compared to this people
I mean, it's true. Not all talent shows showcase real talent. Most are just cash grabs, trying to lean too much into the entertainment side rather than actually showing the actual talents people have.

Also the performance where all the beatboxers on the show did a group stage
@@RCZY_OFFICIAL yeah All of collaboration stage was awesome
The one with wing performing attention is sick also

i love watching this analysis....and im a huge fan of you madox....blast that sub 😅
In my opinion Not only madox react but also give us knowledge how to do that sound
If you watch more Vocal Play, you'll see a lot of performances where all these beatboxers collab with numerous singers and acappela groups and the result is just AMAZING. They really make beatbox SHINE and come out as an organic part of music.
Vocal Play is leading the way to the future.
That’s cool ESH
100% I binge watched the lot of it when I found Vocal Play a few months back. the solos are great but the colabs are so sick and something we don't see as often.
You should watch the performance from the end of the show where the 5 of them performed as a crew, it was actually so sick.

hey Madox! great commentary on the Vocal Play eliminations of some of Korea's finest beatboxers. I was kinda surprised you didn't watch the vids with subtitles (Channel A Home/Entertainment, the official channels for the TV show, have some of the vids with subtitles).
anyway, since i watched Vocal Play when it was premiering in 2018, i just wanted to explain/point out some stuff that might've been missed;
- you likely already knew after watching a bit, but the initial structure of the show was that vocal performers (solo singers, duo/groups, beatboxers, rappers) were performing in front of 100 people _as well_ as 4 judges (famous underground or commercial musicians). Judges and other contestants sat behind the wall, and the wall would open when 70 out of 100 people pressed their buttons; at the end of their performance, if they have 70+ votes _and_ a judge pressed their button, the contestant can advance to the next stage.
- the TV show was a weekly structure where contestants would create new performances for new niches, e.g. 'chemistry' [showcase their chemistry with another], 'mashup' [showcase ability to mashup songs], 'harmony' etc.
- Hiss was the first of the 5 beatboxers to do an elimination; then H-Has the week after, then Huckle and Mighty in later weeks. Hiss did song covers, H-Has used his song 'Do you wanna stay' [ruclips.net/video/idU9iS7hzV0/видео.html], Huckle combined two of his battle routines and so did Mighty.]
- Wing came in much later into the show as a 'special guest' (when the show was already several weeks through its season). When Wing came in as a 'special guest', there were other 'special guest' contestants (the ones you saw at 9:52 - the non-Korean looking man, for example, is Greg Priester, an American man famous in Korea for his soulful covers of Korean songs), who likely talked to Wing before his performance.
- Hiss and H-Has were on the same team [Muzie, the person on the far left], Mighty was on Sweet Sorrow's team [the group of judges on the far right], Huckle picked Yoon Il Sang [the chubby looking judge with glasses] and Wing picked Lee Yoon-Sang (the classy/older-looking judge).
- since Hiss and H-Has were on the same team, one of their first performances on the show was a beatbox duo cover of Itaewon Freedom (a song that Muzie worked on). Personally, this performance (alongside Huckle's collaboration with a group 'Exit', Wing's group version of Attention and the 5 beatboxers doing a final performance in the show) were the best ones in the series for beatboxers, but also just strong individually.
- typically for Korean entertainment shows (especially music-based ones), it's common for certain moments of performances to be repeated a few times with different angles showing different reactions. I don't particularly like it myself, but sometimes if done right, it can be funny/interesting to see how some people react (e.g. on another famous Korean singing show, I Can See Your Voice, they do this quite well).
- the reactions may seem a little exaggerated, but from my experience with Korean people, the reactions are fairly genuine, even if the crowd seems dead at times - most of the people are just in shock, since Korean hiphop didn't have much popularity until the last decade or so, and beatbox is still understood as a party trick or 'boots'n'cats' there. Some of my fellow Korean friends used to react the same way when I beatboxed for them at first. :p
That's probably all the information I'd want you to know about the show, but I do hope that you would take a look at Hiss-HHas' cover of Itaewon Freedom, Wing's performance of Attention on Vocal Play _and_ all 5 beatboxers performing on Vocal Play as a crew. I really look forward to seeing you covering other countries' talent shows regarding beatboxer performances! (and maybe a video covering Alexinho vs B-Art's battle at 2018 World Beatbox Championships... :eyes:)
Bigman did a performance on a korean show called "I Can See Your Voice". You should totally look into it because its the first time beatbox was ever on that show.

And read my comment on mighty's video as well 😁
you can make a part two of this, they have more of this where they collab with singers and acapella groups.
Randomly clicked on this video and was surprised to be one of the comments o: Glad to be in it Madox !
Wait, working on the lyrics??
But that also goes to B-art? I can't understand a single word in his battles 😂
Yes also B-Art. Check my analysis on B-Art vs Codfish.
Am I the only one that bops my head in time with Madox in the “Let’s analyse that” part?
Just with the replay on Wing’s performance; this is pretty normal in a lot of Korean variety TV shows. I agree that it sorta is distracting and messes with the flow of music but it’s standard over there so I guess they just are used to this editing style.
You're correct, Korean variety TV shows always show different perspectives. Anyone who's used to watching shows like Running Man will know that feeling.

This show combines beatboxers and acapella groups each week with new performances. What you just saw was the audition part
Thank you so much madox, you are so great, i like your videos so much. Thanks for the heart of my comment(i'm sooo happy right now
I didn't have time to watch it when you upload it because of the exams, but now that I made it through, I can watch all the content I want, begining whit you 🎉🥳
First of all, I LOVE your "Let me analyze that!" transition. That is some sick creating/editing. Second of all, whenever your closing background song comes on, I get a little sad, since I know your video is about to end. I just listened to "Believe Me" for the first time tonight, and I realized the music for that song is the same as your closing music for your analysis videos. So now the ends of your videos are even more sad. :) Good content, bro. Keep it up!
I‘m 0:28 seconds in and already the intro blows me away🔥🔥
Hiss is the best beatboxer out of whole Korean beatbox community.( My opinion)❤️❤️❤️
I agree
Bigman *cries* in the corner..
I ain't saying Bigman is best tho
I love u madox...i always wait for ur videos...love ur analysis videos...big fan... I'm learning beatbox from ur videos...

Thanks for this video. I really appreciate as a boy who love beatbox in Korea.
Big up Bro!!!!
You are literally MAN OF CULTURE!!!
Also the judges are legend musicians in korea. XDD
CF. When that show was producted first, there were no half of the names of the current Beatbox players on the beatboxer cast list
This is sick man I love your videos your my inspiration keep doing what your doing
Madox new videos babyyy i beatbox oll day love you bro 💪🏻😎✌🏻🔥👑🔥
6:51 won't you enlighten us with that composition mastery like you said earlier😁
I watched all the performances on Vocalplay and overall, out of the 5, Mighty really impressed me the most. He showed some serious diversity from being a very energetic up-tempo beatboxer but then was also imitating animals, tin whistle and also pulled off a traditional korean drum beat. Anyway, vocalplay has made me a beatboxing junkie. I'm looking up all the material I can, I just can't get enough of it. Especially when beatboxers work together and make their beatboxing version of acapella.
Ahh I thought the H-has & Hiss's duo performance was included in this video, but still, good vid anyways
its really good to see that many people liking beatbox and appreciating the difficulty of it
Oh yeah Madox, something that I realized after watching all of these episodes was that the judges can’t see the performer until the audience hits like 70 or so votes; They have no clue what the performance will be, maybe a soloist singer, an Acapella group, or a beatboxer. So they can only listen and then after the gates are opened by the audience votes, they get to see the performer
I have a feeling that they though H-has was a solo singer, so when he started beatboxing they went crazy because he was so good at singing and he wasn’t even a singer
Oh and btw the judges goal is to make a team usually with a balance of soloist singer, Acapella group, and beatboxer so they can have a really well rounded team (that’s why some judges clicked the button before really hearing the beatboxer, because they needed one for their team)
Nice beatbox intro Madox💯 Man of Culture 💯🔥
This is what I've been waiting for.
Aayyee this one is good concept ❤️❤️🔥🔥TO BRING out the hidden eshhers !!
Madox is not a man of Culture, he is the GOD OF CULTUUUUUREEEEE🔥🔥🔥🔥❤
SURE😂
Could you react to further episodes of this show, you’ll see how the judges uses the beatboxers in a team format with different artist
The dude didn't press the button for hiss cuz he was soo mesmerised by his beatbox that he forgot where he was and what he was doing
I think you should analyze "Hiss&Wing&H-has&Mighty&Huckle - Batshit+Power Glove+Mind (Beatbox Cover) | Special Showcase" 🔥🔥🔥
Damn, I'd say if I was not seeing this as a beatboxer, H-Has would definitely be my favourite one. But all of them killed it!
Madox I just wanna point out this one thing, the two comments after 30:00, I guess you accidentally inserted wrong comments coz the one on the screen and what you were reading out didn't match, so fix that if you wish :)
Great job as always!
I love those Korean shows that focus on this stuff
damn i keep forgetting about mighty, dude is incredible
i challenge you, Madox. Make beatbox covers of these songs : Ezio's Family (Assassin's Creed II Theme), Halo (main theme)

Hiss, H-Has, Wing, Mighty & Huckle watching this video and looking at Madox's haircut: "Man of culture!"
:D
You can only die happy, when you are a man of culture.
I REALLY APPRICIATE BEATBOX .💘 EVERYTIME IM SEEING AND HEARING THIS KIND OF STUFFS MY HEART'S REALLY POUNDING 👏👏
Madox of u want react to teamwork in vocalplay of wing, hiss, huckle and mighty, that performance is sick. And also the attention drop of wing also in vocal play. You're sick bro 🔥
Honestly my first time hearing Mighty's beatbox and it's so fucking sicxkkk
Mighty went all in wow
Yes he impressed me a lot
Totally agree with your point the lyrics used in beatbox routines. I usually never understand what the person is trying to say so i just accept it as a part of the weird sounds they make and move on lel.
Lyrics are just beginner beatbox sounds.
@@Madoxbeatbox Codfish triggered
the "judges" in the tv show are popular producers in k-pop industry since 2000s so they knew producing values in beatbox performances, the concept in this tv show is like "the voice", firstly the contestant (beatboxer, acapella group, vocalist, rapper, choir group. Cmiiw) has to perform blind (judges behind the wall) and the producers'll choose who will they work with... then each team will compete other for the vote... didn't watch the show till end so that's all i could say... chao
H-has was the first contestants as a beatboxer in this show, i think that's the reason why he had the shortest time #imo. Hiss and H-has in the same team, it makes they perform asa tag team on the second week. and also in the last week/episode the beatboxer contestants make last performance as a team and that's so sick. hope you can react or review that too. sorry for my bad english.
VocalPlay was insane bc they had ACTUAL beatboxers in the community thats respected in the beatbox world
Lmao I always knew you were saying “culture” wrong but I liked it, it’s more unique to you the way you say it like kalture
That intro. Sick dude!
Thats the thing man. When i do beatbox to non-beatboxers i dont get the energy this making me uncomfortable to beatbox infront of crowds. But when it comes to beatboxers meet we all get hyped for each others beatbox
I suddenly recall when HISS was doing "copy beatboxing" and you shouted "f**kin' remix!"
Well, the reactions are not fake. In Korean tv, reaction and expression play an important part. So they mostly react the same way
HISS X H-HAS IS DOPE THO ON THIS SHOW!
maybe you should watch it XD
Pretty sure the Elisii/Wing doing the same routine is genuinely something they both came up with independently. It's a cover of a song Adderall and honestly the choice of how to turn it into a beatbox routine is kind of obvious (what I mean by that is it's completely understandable that two people would independently make the same drop by using it).
Such a great video! But I totally thought you would take a look at their crew showcase as well, please consider it!
I already missed the analysis and reactions
Wing sneaks in a bunch of snares everywhere he can 😂😂
Madox you should do a super long video for New Years analysing all of the 2019 GBB Solo Eliminations
Korean has serious skill on beatboxing
Brez is going to upload a video with the title " IMO my best video of the year" I think you should compare and analyze if it really is his best video of the year, ✌️✌️✌️
madox please analyse these controversial battles! Nme vs Inkie, B-art vs OSY. This one isn’t really controversial but also Beatness vs Inkie
Napom: I am the king of liproll
Huckle: am I a joke to you?
Huckle: I am the God of liproll
The solution for having no pitch reference:
Just have perfect pitch! It’s that easy 😂 seriously though, I wonder how many beatboxers might have perfect pitch
That would help, but your pitch and still be wavering and really messy. Check out eddy from twosetviolin. vocals are a whole other skill.
@@cooltm2801 as a vocalist with perfect pitch, I know this very well 😂 voice control is often difficult when singing live, regardless of perfect pitch.
Also, I love twoset!!
@@cooltm2801 Oh no, Eddy is too far from us normal relative-pitch peeps😂
I think H-Has might have perfect pitch as good as Eddy😂
I will like to point one thing out, Madox said that how could the man already know that there is a fart bass in there?
Well according to me, Hiss had already done a fart bass (if you notice from 6:00 to 6:10) so I guess that he kinda predicted it
Btw Love From India.
I really want to see Madox' reaction to Hiss and H-has duet in Vocal Play💕🤧
